In 2008, Kimberly researched the African collection artefacts for Dr. Carol E. Mayer, Curator of Oceania & Africa, UBC Museum of Anthropology that were selected for the publication The Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia edited by Dr. Carol E. Mayer and Dr. Anthony A. Shelton, published by Douglas & McIntyre 2010. This publication received the award Winner of the Canadian Museums Association Award for Outstanding Achievement.
