In 2016, Kimberly explored the ecosystem of Australia's natural world on canvas to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainability through artistic expression. Her painting series is on the invasive polyphagous shot-hole borer beetle, native to Southeast Asia. This beetle is causing significant damage to trees and crops, particularly in Western Australia, and poses a threat to urban canopies and agricultural industries.
