THE BIG DRAW
Museum of Anthropology at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada
"A" is for Artifact
In May 2007, Kimberly developed the "A is for Artifact" public program for the Museum of Anthropology for the first-ever Canadian Big Draw event. Modelled on several annual campaigns in the U.K., Australia, and the U.S.A., the Big Draw comprises a series of programs for children, students, adults, and families designed to encourage "knowing through drawing." Over 750 students attended over the two days. A follow-up bookbinding workshop showed teachers how to bind their students' drawings into an alphabet book.
